What to expect on the Toledo Day Tour Private from Madrid
After picking you up in Madrid, we will drive up to the southern hill of Toledo to admire a panoramic view that will take breath away. I will invite you to a cup of coffee as we plan our visit. We will then park by the northern gate of Bisagra from where we will take an escalator to the hilltop. From here on we will embark on a wonderful walking experience that will take you back in time. You will be transported to the old Roman days, to the Muslim rule in the lower middle ages or the days of the great Spanish Emperor Carlos V. The visit explores the Jewish Quarter, the Primal Spanish Cathedral built in 1226, synagogues and mosques. You will learn why Toledo is also referred to as the city of the three cultures. While walking, we will pass by a famous ceramic shop run by one family for seven generations. We will also stop at the most traditional damasquino ( Damasquinado) shop, near the Sephardic Museum, to appreciate gems also known as Toledo Gold.
